Village started as a church plant in a living room off the Ormeau Road, and today the Village family of churches continues to exist to plant churches. Village East and Village South are connected relationally, theologically, and missionally.

Philip Moore is married to Rachel and they have 5 children. In 2006 Phillip moved to France from Northern Ireland to pastor a church in the Paris area. Since then, by God’s grace, the church has planted 3 daughter churches. Now Philip and his family have moved into the 5th arrondissement of Paris to plant a new church.

Their vision is simple, it’s to be a community of faith in the 5th that loves, lives and shares the Truth, Beauty and Goodness of God.

Rachel and Joe Millican joined Village Church in 2015 and moved to West Belfast in 2021. In 2023 we said goodbye to them from our Village South Family as they joined in with Colin Glen Christian Fellowship. 

We're delighted to share that now, Rachel is stepping into an exciting new role as a Community Worker with Colin Glen Christian Fellowship. She will engage full time in outreach and evangelism in her neighbourhood and wider community. Rachel's role will include door-to-door work, personal evangelism, women's outreach and discipleship, young adult and youth work, children's work, as well as investing in local families and the friendships and relationships.

Working since 2020, Caitlin is currently serving in Comms across Agapé's national UK Student Ministry and Comms/Operations with Global Aid Network UK (GAiN), Agape’s humanitarian partner.

In Student Comms, Caitlin seeks to equip, encourage and enable Christian students across the UK as they invest in everyday missions with the people they live, study and do life with while at university. Caitlin supports Agapé UK’s full-time campus staff as they contextualise and use social media on their campus to reach both Christians and spiritually curious students.

GAiN UK is a humanitarian aid organisation seeking to reveal hope and restore life, giving people opportunities to tangibly respond to poverty and crisis situations across the world. Caitlin's role in operations and communications has been key in growing our presence in the UK, sharing God’s heart for those in need, and building capacity with new and ongoing projects. She is also actively involved in projects ‘in country’ and has been part of teams serving practically in Serbia, Romania and Benin.

In 2019, Jeremy joined the Avant team in the midst of planting a church in Messina, Sicily. Using his love for sport and young people, Jeremy was a part of the evangelistic outreach and church life of this brand new church plant.

In November 2022, Jeremy and Jacqueline were married. They spent a number of months praying and discerning where the Lord would lead them to serve as a married couple, and God led them back to Messina! Jacqueline, coming from a background of teaching, likewise has a love for young people and seeing them come to know Jesus. Their desire is to see a new generation of believers and churches established in Sicily!
